About me
Hi there! My name is Róbert Arató and I am a Hungarian-Russian geologist, a proud husband and a proud father, currently working as a Marie-Curie Fellow at the Department of Sedimentology and Environmental Geology, Georg-August Universität Göttingen, Germany. At the same time I am a Junior Research Fellow and Lab Manager at the Institute for Nuclear Research, Debrecen, Hungary (on a sabbatical leave until November 2022 due to my ongoing Marie-Curie Fellowship). In my childhood, I was always fascinated by chemistry and mathematics, which combined with the interest in understanding how nature works, developed into a passion as I enrolled to the university. As a geologist, my aim is to approach geological problems from various perspectives. I like combining fieldwork with experiments and laboratory measurements, and evaluate geological data based on mathematical principles. In my personal opinion, a geologist needs integrated knowledge: there is no geology without the thorough understanding of statistics, material science and thermodynamics. |
